About Craigendinnie Fishing
About Us
A prime most attractive 2.2 mile salmon and seatrout fly only beat. A bank share agreement allows the angler to fish both banks until the end of June, the beats being split into two parts, top and bottom, thereafter the south bank only.
The Fishing
The beat lets two rods per day affording generous fishing with no overcrowding. There is a modern hut with wood burning stove positioned adjacent to the track which provides good vehicular access to the majority of the beat. There is a second hut and small car park servicing the lowest part of the beat namely the Lorne pool.
The shallow pools are fast flowing over fine gravel and cobbles, with gin clear water unless in spate, providing fantastic classic fly fishing on a catch and release basis. There is a full time Ghillie who looks after both Craigendinnie and Aboyne Castle rods.
